VNA - The 2023 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Teenage and Children's Rackets concluded on the evening of September 1 at the Ba Ria-Vung Tau Provincial Sports Gymnasium (Vung Tau City), with dramatic final matches in all age groups.

 

The tournament attracted the participation of 300 male and female athletes aged 7-23 from 40 sports delegations from provinces, cities and sectors with strong Table Tennis training movements in the country such as: People's Public Security, Army, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi... Athletes competed in the following events: men's and women's singles; men's and women's doubles; mixed doubles in the age groups: U22-23; U20-21; U18-19; U16-17; U14-15; U12-13; U10-11; U9.

 

As a result, the U9 men's singles gold medal went to athlete Bui Gia Phong (Army), the U9 women's singles gold medal went to athlete Truong Nhu Quynh (HCMC); The Gold medal in the 10-11 year old boys' singles category went to athlete Nguyen Xuan Phuc (Thanh Hoa), the Gold medal in the 10-11 year old girls' singles category went to athlete Truong Nhu Quynh (HCMC); the Gold medal in the 12-13 year old boys' singles category went to athlete Nguyen Van Tuan Anh (CAND), the Gold medal in the 12-13 year old girls' singles category went to athlete Do Le Van Chi (Lam Dong); the Gold medal in the 14-15 year old boys' singles category went to athlete Do Manh Luong (Thanh Hoa), the Gold medal in the 14-15 year old girls' singles category went to athlete Nguyen Nhu Quynh (HCMC); the Gold medal in the 16-17 year old boys' singles category went to athlete Nguyen Hoang Lam (Army), the Gold medal in the 16-17 year old girls' singles category went to athlete Ngo Thuy Tien (Da Nang); The Gold Medal for the 18-19 year old men's singles went to athlete Tran Manh Cuong (Hanoi T&T Club), the Gold Medal for the 18-19 year old women's singles went to athlete Tran Mai Ngoc (Hanoi T&T Club); the Gold Medal for the 20-21 year old men's singles went to athlete Vu Manh Huy (Hanoi T&T Club), the Gold Medal for the 20-21 year old women's singles went to athlete Bui Ngoc Lan (Hanoi T&T Club); the Gold Medal for the 22-23 year old men's singles went to athlete Dinh Anh Hoang (Hanoi T&T Club), the Gold Medal for the 22-23 year old women's singles went to athlete Nguyen Thuy Kieu My (CAND).

The 2023 National Table Tennis Tournament for Outstanding Young, Teenage, and Children Players is organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Table Tennis Federation in coordination with the Department of Culture, Sports, and related units, to inspect and evaluate the quality of training and education of outstanding young, teenage, and children athletes. At the same time, it selects athletes for the national team to participate in national and international table tennis tournaments.
