The M sports field at Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, designed and constructed according to multi-purpose sports field standards, has just been put into use and has had a good effect on students and teachers.

In particular, this sports field is guaranteed to meet technical standards to achieve the best durability, flatness and grip according to the standards of the International Basketball Federation and the International Tennis Federation.

Bao Tran, a student at this school, shared: "Most of my classmates were very happy to hear the news. Many of my classmates have played this sport before, so if the school starts teaching this subject, the whole class will compete to register for it."

Ms. Nguyen Thi Tu - Principal of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education High School - said that the school's M sports field is suitable for many sports such as basketball, volleyball, badminton, futsal, pickleball... However, as soon as the field is inaugurated, the school will introduce pickleball to students.

"Pickleball is a sport that is "making waves" at many sports fields at home and abroad, so students need to approach, learn, and experience it right at school. The school really hopes that students and teachers will make the most of the facilities equipped for learning and development," said Ms. Tu.

In Ho Chi Minh City, some high schools have also invested in sports fields so that students and teachers can play pickleball, such as Mac Dinh Chi High School (District 6), Hung Vuong High School (District 5), and Gifted High School (Ho Chi Minh City National University).

Pickleball is a sport originating from the US and has become a "hot" sport in Vietnam over the past year. Pickleball is a sport played indoors or outdoors, in two categories: singles (2 players), or doubles (4 players) on a rectangular court.

Basically, pickleball is a "hybrid" sport between tennis, table tennis and badminton, because the court is similar in size to a badminton court, uses a flat racket that is smaller than a tennis racket but larger than a table tennis racket, and uses a small, lighter ball than a tennis ball.
